In this tut., we will go more indepth into to render blending. It is really simple once you figure out your settings.
Okay. First, make a backgound. I will be using this one:
Open up this render. Select it, then go to image>resize and enter these settings (don't worry about the print size stuff):
Now press ok, and copy it. Paste it as a selection on the background, and be sure to make it it's own layer. Should look something like this:
Now, duplicate the render layer. Use the selection tool, and select the render. Now go to Selections>Modfiy>Feather and put the settings like this:
Click okay.
Then while it is still selected go to Selections>Invert and press the delete button on your keyboard ONCE!
Now duplicate the original render layer again, and select the render again. This time go to Adjust>Hue and Saturation>Colorize. Enter these settings :
Now take your eraser tool, and set it as followes: Size = 32, Hardness = 19, Step = 25, Density = 100, Rotation = 0, Opacity = 20.
Select the layer you colorized. Now go around the edges of the render with the edge of the brush. Should look something like this when you are done:
Now select the layer you feathered and do the same thing. Should look something like this when you are done:
The order of the layers should go like this (top to bottom) Colored, original (set to invisible), feathered, and then background.
Now set the Colored layer's blend mode to soft light, and the Feathered layer to lighten. Should come out looking like this:
And that's it!
Pretty simple.
